Child-led approach to curriculum and planning

I’ve been using the service for a long time, the centre is like a home away from home for the children and it’s a lovely atmosphere when you come through the door. You feel listened to and the children love attending the creche and seem to have so much fun! I’d recommend to anyone!

This was a very enjoyable and rewarding 4 week project - the children were a joy to work with. An element that made it so enjoyable was being able to use the same room each week and having time to set up the play environment before the children arrived. Each week the children became Helping Heroes and responded to a different call for help from animals in different parts of the world.

The children's creative engagement at LYCS creche with the workshops was amazing across both groups. Both groups found discovery play and problem-solving together exciting. The fact that a character they had totally created was the main focus of the story was particularly thrilling for all.
