For 40 years, LYCS has been supporting and empowering communities in the North East Inner City of Dublin to become involved in their own development, that of their community, and to become active global citizens.
We are celebrating our 40th birthday in November 2025! We will be showcasing some of the fantastic work that has taken place in recent years in LYCS, along with taking a look back at how far we have come, and the historical milestones for the organisation.
Paschal Donohoe TD, Minister for Finance, will deliver the opening address at 9:30am, after which CEO of LYCS Sarah Kelleher will begin a morning of exploring the history of LYCS, the methodological approaches of our exciting local and global citizenship education work, and what’s next for LYCS.
We’ll be providing refreshments, and lunch to finish, so please join us for a celebration of the last 40 years, and to the next 40!
