Our Theatre of the Oppressed Global Citizenship Drama Group’s performance of their original play is finally here!
This original one-act play was devised using Newspaper Theatre, a technique from Agosto Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed.
Inspired by James Joyce’s Ulysses, two seagulls travel across Dublin, taking a bird-eye view of the issues facing modern Ireland and the wider world.
This play is the second production from the LYCS Global Citizenship Education Drama Programme, and was created through the hard work of Orla Devlin and the LYCS team, the team at Dublin Adult Learning Centre, and the fantastic performers.
The GCE Drama Programme is funded by Irish Aid, and this production was created with the support of Dublin City Council’s Community Development Grant.
